Due to advances in technology, mobile phones manufacturers have continued to release exquisite products that have simplified people’s way of life. T-mobile have now partnered with Samsung to release the Samsung Comeback T559, a phone that has won a lot of accolades from people who have used it. The model is similar to the LG enV3. This phone specially designed as a messaging phone, has incorporated a side flap sliding mechanism that is rather different from the LG enV3.
The comeback is not too heavy as it weighs approximately 130 grams. It is however too wide since it measures 4.33” x 2.2” x 0.73” mm. It has a LCD display with a resolution of 400 x 240 pixels, 1.0 inch, PMOLES and can support up to 65,000 colors. The display is also quite clear, sharp and displays images and letters very legibly. The QWERTY keyboard is very easy to use and the keys are soft, easy to press and very well spaced. This makes writing of text quite easy. One of the most surprising design features is that of the micro SD. It is located not only behind the phone but behind the battery. This means that to access or change the micro SD one has to turn off the phone and remove the battery. The outer casing is made of plastic which is curved at the side and has blocky corners. Also located at the back of the casing is the 2.0 megapixel camera and external speakers.
The Samsung comeback has a wealth of very striking and useful features that enhance its functionality. It has a capacity of 1000 phonebook contacts entry with space in each entry for 4 numbers, 4 email addresses amongst other contact details. All this is supported by the 75MB phone memory. The phone gives a lot of emphasis to messaging. It offers an instant messaging service as well as text and multimedia messaging. It has an email feature that enables the user to send and receive mail from a variety of email service providers. Some of the more striking features include the Voice Command, Stereo Bluetooth and the RSS Reader. The later helps the user to send framed photos that are accompanied by an audio message.
However the most admirable feature offered by the Samsung comeback is the full HTML browser. It is quite easy to enter URL’s to the browser. Furthermore, the volume rocker located at the side can be used to conveniently scroll up and down the web pages. The browser also fully supports JavaScript and has a form of Flash Lite that supports video playback. The comeback also has a very commendable music player that offers a series of options for controlling the play and sound modes. Music, video and other multimedia files can be saved to the micro SD, of up to 16 GB capacity. The main access language for the comeback is English but the phone further supports both French and Spanish.
Even though the Samsung comeback is not as perfect as some other phones of its age, its overall performance is quite impressive.
